2 Pasco teenagers ejected, killed in Lutz car crash

Tragedy struck Florida’s Pasco County on Monday after an 18-year-old driver from Land O’ Lakes and a 19-year-old passenger from Spring Hill were killed in a car crash. The five teenagers, who were all from the area, had been traveling north on U.S. 41 in a 2011 Honda Accord when the driver veered off the road onto the right shoulder and collided with a ditch, causing the car to overturn.

The two passengers who were ejected from the car did not have seat belts on, while those who remained inside suffered minor injuries. It is heartbreaking to hear that two young lives were lost due to this crash – a reminder of how important it is to always wear a seat belt when inside of moving vehicles.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved as they come to terms with this difficult time. We urge everyone to take caution when driving and be mindful of their own safety as well as that of others around them.
