Bicyclist Killed in Crash on MLK St

On Thursday afternoon, shortly after 12pm, a northbound SUV struck a bicyclist in the 2800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King St. North in St. Petersburg. The bicyclist died at the scene of the crash. Police are still investigating. Source.

According to the police, the driver of the SUV stopped and is cooperating with their investigation. The victim has been identified as 25 year-old Anne McLaughlin. 

McLaughlin was riding her bike in a marked crosswalk in the 2800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Street North when she was struck by a white Chevrolet driven by 44 year-old Brian Doughty Jr. according to the preliminary investigation.
