Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

On Sunday, November 28, 2021, two motorcycles collided in Pasco County. One of the motorcyclists died following the accident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Source.

The first motorcyclist – a 34-year-old man from St. Petersburg – was riding north on Jessamine Road around 10 am on Sunday morning. The second motorcyclist – a 48-year-old man from Wesley Chapel – was behind the St. Petersburg man, traveling in the same direction.

The motorcyclist from Wesley Chapel overtook and passed traffic in the southbound lane, and crashed into the side of the St. Petersburg man when he attempted to return to the northbound lane. Both motorcycles overturned upon impact. 

Following the collision, the Wesley Chapel man came to a stop on the grass shoulder. The St. Petersburg man came to a stop on the road. Both men were transported to the hospital following the accident. The Wesley Chapel man died at the hospital, while the St. Petersburg man sustained serious injuries. Both motorcyclists were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
